How to Stay Afloat When the Enemy Shipwrecks Your Life
One woman’s journey from pain to praise

LONGWOOD, FL—After the death of her infant son, author Angela Curtis had
trouble keeping her head above water. In November 2003, she answered God’s call
on her life to go into ministry and learned how to move from pain to praise. In From
Mourning to Morning: Putting on the Garment of Praise ($9.99, paperback, 1-
60034-683-9), Curtis teaches readers how to minister to their spirit and soul, renew
their mind, and release God’s joy back into their life.

A compilation of inspirational poems, the book reassures readers that it is okay to
grieve their loss and that God has a plan of restoration for them. “It is important to
know these things so [readers] will not allow the enemy an open door so he can try
to shipwreck their life,” says Curtis.

Within the span of one year, Curtis lost several family members before the most
devastating blow—the death of her son. Looking everywhere for healing,
deliverance, and closure, she turned to Jesus to provide her with those things. He did
just that—and more. Now she has made it her personal mission to ensure that people
fulfill their vision for their lives and that any stumbling blocks in their path don’t
prevent them from meeting this goal.

The poems, which she calls a “balm” for wounded hearts, include devotional
scriptures that will move readers to praise Jesus. She explains, “[My] personal motto
is ‘strive to be your best, strive to do no less, go through every test—march on!’”

Angela Curtis’ gifts for administration, exhortation, helps, and teaching manifested
after the death of her infant son. In November 2003, she was ordained as a
missionary/evangelist. She serves at Kingdom Harvest International Church,
shepherded by Bishop Kevin A. Williams, Sr.
